Furniture is moved or protected. Edges and adjoining surfaces are taped off. We control dust and water throughout the process.
We work through progressively finer diamond abrasives, removing the damaged surface layer and levelling out wear. This is where the clarity starts to return.
Once polished to your desired finish of honed, semi-gloss, or gloss, we apply a penetrating sealer to protect against staining. The marble keeps its natural feel, but gains resistance to moisture and everyday wear.

Warm water and a microfibre mop handle most day-to-day cleaning. If you’re unsure about a product, it’s safer not to use it.
No. Steam mops force heat and moisture into the stone and grout, which can break down sealers and encourage moisture-related issues beneath the surface. A damp microfibre mop with the right cleaner is a safer option for regular maintenance.
It depends on foot traffic and how the floor is used. Sealing typically lasts two to five years in most homes.
Polishing intervals vary more; a well-maintained floor in a low-traffic area might go seven to ten years before it needs full restoration. High-traffic zones will show wear sooner. We can advise during the assessment.
Polishing is a mechanical process; we use diamond abrasives to refine the actual surface of the stone until it reflects light properly again. The result is permanent until wear or damage occurs.
Waxing sits on top of the marble. It can add temporary shine, but it wears unevenly, attracts dirt, and needs to be stripped and reapplied regularly. It also masks the stone rather than restoring it. We don’t use wax; we restore the marble itself.
Marble floors don’t recover on their own. The wear you’re seeing now will only become more visible over time, and harder to reverse.
